DUDLEY --The funeral for Henry Lee "Egg Man" Allen, 66, of 103 N. Timberland Place, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. James Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Mount Olive. Elder Woodrow Grandy Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.

Mr. Allen died Sunday at SunBridge Nursing Center.

He was the son of the late George and Christine Graham Allen. He retired as a forklift operator with Georgia Pacific.

He is survived by three sons, Aubrey Allen and Mickie Allen of Tacoma, Wash., and Elton Allen of Haywood, Calif.; two daughters, Paula Williams and Kimberly Thompson of Dudley; three brothers, Freeman Graham and Ralph Allen of Mount Olive and Edward Allen of Rose Hill; three sisters, Minnie Ward of Mount Olive, Shirley Hornsby of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Maggie Melton of Angier; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Allen and Paula Williams, 125 Annie Avenue, Dudley.

The viewing hours will be from 3 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
