Edith Kirby Lancaster, 69, died Tuesday at her home in Wilmington,
She was born in Wayne County to the late Richard E. Kirby and Winnie Eva Taylor Kirby and was the granddaughter of the late Barney and Leckie Musgrave Kirby. She graduated from The Medical College of Virginia, with a degree in x-ray technology and had served as Diagnostic Manager of the Radiology Department at Pitt Memorial Hospital, as well as manager of both the x-ray department at Glenn R. Frye Hospital and Catawba Radiological Associates in Hickory.
She was a member of Harbor United Methodist Church in Wilmington and a celebration of life ceremony will beheld there tonight at 7. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Musgrave Family Cemetery on Anitoch Church Road, near Pikeville
