MOLLIE M. JOYNER

SNOW HILL -- Mollie Pippin Mewborn Joyner, 81, died Tuesday.

The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with the Reverend Dr. Gene Martin officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Snow Hill Cemetery.

A Greene County native, Mrs. Joyner was the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha Pippin Mewborn and the widow of Lyman Dewey Joyner. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Snow Hill.

She is survived by her sons and their wives, Joseph Henry Joyner of Norfolk Norwich, England, Rudolph E. and Deborah Joyner and Robert E. "Bobby" and Ann Joyner of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Christopher M. Joyner of Greenville, Jennie Joyner Baggett and husband, Greg, of Durham and Robert Daniel Joyner of Snow Hill; a great-grandchild, Alex Baggett; a foster grandson, Mike Turnage and daughter, Anna; a special nephew who resided with her as a child, William Kenneth Creech, and his wife, Carol, of Snow Hill; sisters, Arlene Harper Baysden of Richlands and Emma Radford of Ayden; and a brother, Richard P. Mewborn of Alabama.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Friday, and other times at the home of Rudolph and Deborah Joyner, 1550 Hwy. 903 South, Snow Hill.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 484, Snow Hill, N.C., 28580.
