EDNA GODWIN

Edna G. Godwin, 71, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A graveside service will be 5 p.m. Monday at Holland Family Cemetery on Highway 581 North in the Pinkney Community.
Ms. Godwin was born in Wayne County to the late George Harvey Godwin and Pearl Horrell Godwin.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie Mewborn and her husband, J.L., of Albertson, and Vickie Kennedy and her husband, Harvey, of Beulaville; grandchildren, Shawn Quinn, Michelle Quinn, Crystal Stewart and her husband, Jamie, Donnie Kennedy and David Mewborn; and great-grandchildren, Stephen Quinn, Allie Parker, Austin Stewart and Daniel Stewart.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Godwin was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
