The funeral for Janice Bostic Whitfield, 41, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Atkinson Baptist Church in Atkinson, where she was a member. The Rev. Douglas Warnock and the Rev. Merrell McKoy will officiate. Burial will be in Bostic Cemetery.
Mrs. Whitfield died Wednesday at her home in Goldsboro.
She was a native of Wilmington and was the daughter of the late Durwood E. Bostic Sr. and Margaret Butler Bostic.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Whitfield of the home; daughters, Sherrie Elixson of Rocky Point and Christy Lynn Nagy of Pikeville; stepdaughter, Heather King of Mount Olive; stepson, Jeremy Whitfield of Mount Olive; brother, Durwood E. Bostic Jr. of Goldsboro; sister, Linda Bostic of Atkinson; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
