SNOW HILL -- The funeral for Tyrone "Ty" Ormond, 20, of 263 Pine Cone St., will be held at noon Saturday, at St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in Snow Hill. The Rev. Jerome Frazier will officiate. Burial will be in St. Delight Cemetery in Walstonburg.
Survivors include one daughter, Tanya Faith Ormond of Snow Hill; his parents, Wilhemina Faith Ormond and Joe Wayne Kornegay of Snow Hill; two sisters, Tawanda Shanté Auston of Elm City and Tangela Nicole Ormond of Raleigh; one brother, Jamil Laron Blount of Deep Run; his grandparents Richard Ormond and Sally Ormond of Snow Hill and Joe Exum and Mittie Exum, both of LaGrange; and his great-grandmother, Sallie Hagans of Snow Hill.
Visiting hours will be from 4 until 8 today at Loftin Funeral Home, with the family present during the last hour, and also at the church during the hour prior to the service on Saturday.
