JEAN T. CLIFTON

Jean Thomas Clifton, 58, of 218 Glenwood Trail, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Clifton was born in Wayne County to Harold Kenneth Thomas of Goldsboro and the late Doris Byrd Thomas. She had worked as secretary to the commander of the 77th Air Refueling Squadron at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Bobby L. Clifton; her son, Robert G. Taylor, and his wife, Kim, of Goldsboro; her stepchildren, Michael Clifton of Raleigh, Robert Clifton and his wife, Nancy, of Florida, David Clifton and his wife, Annabelle, of Rocky Point, Tammy Clifton of Los Angeles, Calif., Steve Clifton of Raleigh, and Ronald Clifton of Los Angeles, Calif.; her granddaughter, Kaitlynn Taylor; and her step-grandson, Mason Clifton.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Norman Ard officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 7 at the funeral home.
