Lewis Garland Smith, 62, of 336 John Lewis Grady Road, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ray Smith and Laura Nell Smith and brother, Ray Franklin Smith.
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynwood Boyette and the Rev. Paul Rose officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
He is survived by wife, Linda Grady Smith of the home; daughter, Carlita Smith Howard of Mount Olive; son, Kevin Lewis Smith of Mount Olive; sister, Alicia Carol Smith of Pink Hill; mother-in-law, Pauline Grady of Mount Olive; sisters-in-law, Beverly Grady Brown of Morris Hill, Sarah Smith Hargrove and husband Gary of Pink Hill; brother-in-law, Donald Grady and wife Becky of Houston, Texas.; grandchild, Blayden Howard; special nephew, Tim Smith and several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Saturday at Pink Hill Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duplin County Schools Educational Foundation at P.O. Box 128, Kenansville, N.C. 28349.
