MAGNOLIA -- James Journey Wilson, 81, died Tuesday at his home.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Magnolia. The Rev. Travis Newkirk will officiate. Burial will be in the Moore Family Cemetery.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Wilson worked at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
He is survived by his wife, Argie Wilson of Magnolia; three sons, James Herman Wilson of Edenton, Karl Thomas Wilson and Samuel Ray Chestnutt of Magnolia; three daughters, Colleen W. Newkirk of Magnolia, Benita W. Harris of Reidsville, and Patricia Wilson-Cyrus of Greensboro; and 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 7 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home in Rose Hill.
