EDNA H. FIELDS

SNOW HILL -- Edna Earl Hill Fields, 92, died Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Hill Family Cemetery on East Hill Road near Goldsboro.
A Wayne County native, she was the daughter of Giles and Mamie Hill and the widow of Wilbur William Fields. She worked at Howell's Child Care Center for many years and was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Alton Fields, and his wife, Barbara, of LaGrange; daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Fields of Jacksonville; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Another son, William "Stern" Fields, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service, and other times at the residence, 3774 Hwy 13 South, Snow Hill.
