KENANSVILLE -- The funeral service for Shirley Houston, 54, of 232 Sarecta Road, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Lewis Baptist Church, Chinquapin, with the Rev. Gregory Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Houston died Wednesday at Duplin General Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Montgomery and Virginia Kenan.
She is survived by her husband John B. Houston Jr. of the home; two sons, Der'Rick Jones and Er'Rick Jones of Kenansville; four sisters, Betty Baker of Chinquapin, Marilyn Moore of Watha and Evangeline Kenan of Chinquapin; and two brothers, Robert Kenan and Napoleon Kenan of Greensboro.
The viewing hours will be from 6 until 8 today at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
