Martha Kearney Gilbert, 63, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eureka. Evangelist Retha Hooper and Dr. Odell Forte will officiate.
Mrs. Gilbert was born in Franklin County to the late Garfield Kearney and Angeline Mann Kearney. She had worked with A-Z Automotives, formerly Aenta Industries Inc.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Toni Gilbert of Detroit, Mich.; Alissa Dobbin and husband, Carlos of Pikeville; Faith Gilbert Darby and husband, Brian of Goldsboro; Nicole Gilbert of Detroit, Mich. and Alana Gilbert, also of Detroit; and 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Dorothy Davis of Petersburg, Va., and Pearl Johnston of Newark, N.J.; her brothers, Robert Kearney and Roosevelt Kearney of Louisburg; and Elmus Kearney of Newark, N.J.; her uncle, Robert Ford-Mann of Louisburg; and a number of nieces, nephews and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Garfield Kearney, James Kearney and John Kearney; and a sister, Edna Avery Lane.
The family will greet friends at the church following the memorial service, and other times at the home of Alissa Dobbin, 204 Britlan Drive, Pikeville.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
