RONALD McINTYRE

July 1, 1936-May 31, 2006

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Ronald A. McIntyre, husband of Peggy West McIntyre, entered into eternal rest on the evening of May 31, 2006.

The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald A. McIntyre are invited to attend the funeral services of the former today at three o'clock in Northbridge Baptist Church. Interment will be announced. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, on Saturday between five and seven o'clock.

Mr. McIntyre was born July 1, 1936, in Gainesville, Ga., the son of the late Alvin Haskell McIntyre and Mary Margaret Howington. He served in the United States Air Force from June 11, 1954, until his retirement as master sergeant in October of 1977. He flew 100 B-52 missions in Vietnam. He later retired from Anderson Armored Car Service and most recently was a partner in Carolina Fidelity Group. Mr. McIntyre was a member of Northbridge Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, treasurer, trustee and head of The Pulpit Committee.

He is survived by his wife of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, David Michael McIntyre and his wife Melissa of Goldsboro, N.C., and Robert Allen McIntyre of Charleston, S.C.; one daughter: Veronica McIntyre Burn and her husband Eric of Charleston, S.C.; six grandchildren, Scott, Skyler, Rachel, Logan, Lindsay and Laura; two sisters: Sue McIntyre Slade and her husband, Jeff, of Peachtree City, Ga., and Mary Catherine McIntyre Ross and her husband Hank of Highlands, N.C.; one nephew, Geoffrey Slade of Peachtree City, Ga.

He was predeceased by his four-year-old son, James Patrick McIntyre on March 17, 1971.
