MILFORD WATERS SR.

CARY-- Milford Howell Waters Sr., 57, of 1014 Winwood Drive, Cary, died Friday surrounded by his family at Rex Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Milford was born in Duplin County to Joe and Ruby Waters who preceded him in death. Milford lived his adult life in Raleigh and Cary. He was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church, Raleigh.
Milford is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Deborah Ginn Waters; daughter, Christy W. Burgess and her husband Nathan Burgess of Willow Springs; son, Milford Howell Waters Jr. of Durham; sisters, Josephine McKee of Goldsboro, and Rubylene Lambert and husband Rodney of Calypso; and brother, Harran Nelson Waters and wife Clem of Mount Olive.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church, 6767 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, with Rev. Greg Templin officiating. Interment will follow at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh.
The family will receive friends and relatives today (Monday) from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd., Cary, N.C., and at other times at the home in Cary.
Milford will never be forgotten, he will live on in our hearts forever.
