LAURENS--Virginia B. Dykas, 63, formerly of Laurel Wood Apartments died Tuesday in Goldsboro.
She was born in Laurens, S.C. and was the daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Nellie Loree Patterson Brewington.
Mrs. Dykas was a former employee of Lowes and assisted with Meals on Wheels and the Laurens Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Marty Crowe of Goldsboro, Ben and Kim Holcombe of Goldsboro and Dale and Tammy Holcombe of Laurens; two brothers, W.H. Brewington of Clinton and Calvin Brewington of Laurens; four sisters, Helen Lavvorn of Birmingham, Ala., Grace Mitchell, Penny Jane Torres and Wendy Smith all of Laurens; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted today at 11 a.m. in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
