MOUNT OLIVE--Funeral services for William Henry Best, 70, of 318 E. Pollock St. will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Perry Carlton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Carver Cemetery.
Mr. Best died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of Leonza Sr. and Katie Whitfield Best.
Mr. Best was a former employee with the Town of Mount Olive.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine Best of the home; son, Walter Lee Best of Mount Olive; daughters, Danielle Best and LaKisha Best of Mount Olive; brother, Leonza Best Jr. of Columbus, S.C. and two grandchildren.
Viewing will be held today from 5-7 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel and the family will be present from 6-7 p.m. to receive friends.
