WILLIAM B. JACKSON

William Bayard Jackson, 87, of 408 A Street died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Green County to the late Robert and Effie Mae Jones Jackson and was married to Lillian Forehand Jackson. A veteran of the United States Navy, he was retired from Wilson Country Club Maintenance. He was also a member of Rosewood Worship Center.
He was preceded in death by wife Sallie Mae Jones Jackson; son Phillip Jackson; and granddaughter Wendy Dee Webb.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Willowdale Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Dee and Willie Fulghum of Wilson; grandchildren Barry & Susan Webb, Michael Jackson, Cathy Pridgen, Sandra & Mike Styers; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
