MOUNT OLIVE -- Nellie Wilkins Sutton Parker, 83, of 210 Woodridge Drive, died Thursday night at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Unity Baptist Church in Mount Olive with Dr. Raymond Warren officiating. Following the service, the family will remain at the church to receive friends, and at other times they will be at the home of Sandra and Ross Head Jr., 2313 N.C. Hwy 55 East, Mount Olive. The committal and burial service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Long Ridge Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Parker, a former long-time member of Long Ridge Church and a former resident of the Scott's Store community, was a member of Unity Baptist Church and was a retired homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Simeon and Minnie Lancaster Wilkins; her husbands, Jesse Sutton and Clifton Parker; two sons, Aaron Thomas Sutton and William Sutton; and three sisters, Pearl W. Sutton Brock, Minnie W. Whitlock, and Alice "Pat" W. Walker.

Survivors include a son, Bill Tucker, and his wife, Dolores, of Mount Olive; two daughters, Sandra S. Head and husband Ross Head Jr. of Mount Olive and Carolyn S. Hardy of Raleigh; two stepdaughters, Faye Craft and Wilma Streeter, both of Wilson; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Unity Baptist Church, P.O. Box 728, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.

Tyndall Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
