VERA H. WILLIS

Vera H. Willis, 85, of 2306 Piney Grove Road, LaGrange, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Phillip Garrett will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Willis was born in Nash County to the late Henry Jesse and Lillie Geneva Pierce Harding and was married to the late Nathan M. Willis. She was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce W. Godbold, and a grandson, Jack Shelton Hagood.
Her survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Betty W. Barbour of Newport, Linda W. and Ray Hagood of LaGrange and Vanessa Willis of LaGrange; and 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
