SEVEN SPRINGS -- Malcolm Ray Williams, 59, of 311 Parks Road, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. T.C. West officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Williams was born in Wayne County and was the son of Myrtle Mae Summerell of Vanceboro and the late Malcolm Boyette Williams. He retired from the United States Army and later was employed at the Cliffs of the Neuse State Park. He attended Walker Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ruth Blews Williams; three daughters, Betty Rae Williams and Marion Jesse Williams, both of the home, and Cindia Linda Williams Davis of Greenville; one son, Raymond Anthony Williams of Vanceboro; three sisters, Lorraine Sutton of Wilmington; Kathleen Howard of Goldsboro and Civeleen Arrington of Vanceboro; two brothers, John Williams of Kinston and Mack Williams of Vanceboro; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
