ALLEN V. DEWAR

MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for Allen Vandon Dewar, 79, will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. Burial will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Hollywood Cemetery in Roseboro.

Mr. Dewar died Monday.

He was born in Wake County to the late James B. Dewar and Wythie Betts Dewar. He was a United States Army veteran and was employed with Pittard-Perry & Crone Accountants, where he was completing his 55th year of service.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Crumpler Dewar of the home; one brother, James B. Dewar Jr. of Fuquay-Varina; and two sisters, Foy Wray Cotton of Fuquay-Varina, and Betty Goodson of Greenville.

The family will remain at the funeral home to greet friends following the service tonight, and other times will receive friends at the residence at 510 Wells St., Mount Olive.
