ROLAND WILLOUGHBY

PRINCETON -- The funeral for Roland Willoughby, 61, was held Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial was in Princeton Cemetery.

Mr. Willoughby died Friday.

He was a native of Johnston County and was a retired inspector for the N.C. Department of Agriculture. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Alice Parrish Willoughby, and four brothers, John Willoughby of Virginia, Wilbert and Elwood of Maryland and Avery of Princeton.

He is survived by his wife, LaRue Denning Willoughby; children, Jeff and Tammie Willoughby of Mount Olive, Jamie Willoughby of Tarboro, Jason and Sarah Willoughby of Mount Olive and Justin and Leanne Willoughby of Princeton; two brothers, Guy Willoughby of Selma and Melvin Willoughby of Princeton; sisters, Zilphia Montague of Georgia, Ollie Willoughby and Irene Overman of Princeton, Inez Cooper of Raleigh, Adele Snead of Florida and Faye Strickland, Linda Bailey and Brenda Holland of Princeton; grandchild, Jessica Willoughby; and step-grandchildren Haley Greenwood, Jordan Williams and Rebecca Lanier.

The family received friends on Sunday night from 7 until 9 at Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton
