Richard Wade "Rick" Carver, 59, died Sunday at his residence in Stantonsburg.
A memorial service will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Home in Snow Hill.
Mr. Carver was a native of Pennsylvania and was a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Simpson Carver of the home; two sons, Richard W. Carver Jr. of Derry, Pa., and Kenneth S. Carver of Irwin, Pa; two stepsons, Thomas Webb of Cannonsburg, Pa., and Jamie Webb of Snow Hill; two brothers, Charles Carver of Fla., and Thomas Carver of Georgia; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service tonight, and other times at the home of Jamie and Angel Webb, 241 Oakdale Road, Snow Hill, N.C., 28580.
