ALLEN V. DEWAR

MOUNT OLIVE -- Allen Vandon Dewar, 79, of 510 Wells St., died Monday.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. Burial will be on Thursday morning at 10:30 at Hollywood Cemetery in Roseboro.

Mr. Dewar was born in Wake County to the late James B. Dewar and Wythie Betts Dewar. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed with Pittard-Perry & Crone Accountants, where he was completing his 55th year of service.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Crumpler Dewar of the home; a brother, James B. Dewar Jr. of Fuquay-Varina; and two sisters, Foy Wray Cotton of Fuquay-Varina, and Betty Goodson of Greenville.

The family will remain at the funeral home to greet friends following the service on Thursday night, and other times will receive friends at the residence
