MYRTLE M. MOODY

DUDLEY -- Myrtle M. Moody, 77, of 2500 Indian Springs Road, died Thursday.

A private graveside service will be held Monday at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Moody was born in Mount Olive and was the daughter of the late Charlie Author and Letha Mae White Turnage. She was retired from Kemp Furniture Company and was a member The First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Goldsboro.

She is survived by her husband, Rudolph M. Moody of Mount Olive; one daughter, Joyce M. Pittman, and her husband, Richard, of Dudley; two brothers, Perry L. Turnage, and his wife, Christine, of Goldsboro and Marvin D. Turnage and his wife, Becky, of Pikeville; three sisters, Kathleen J. Lane of Mount Olive, Mary A. Cooke of Goldsboro and Mildred T. Jones of Seven Springs; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Turnage and Grace Turnage: her grandchildren, Christopher S. Pittman, Anthony B. Pittman, Ronnie M. Flanagan Jr., and Ginger P. Flanagan; and her great-grandchildren, Alia Pittman, Logan Pittman, Chandler Pittman, Brenna Flanagan, Ronald Flanagan III and Madalen Green.

Another daughter, Linda C. Flanagan, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times at the residence of Joyce and Richard Pittman.
