LITTLETON, N.H. -- Allen Albert Ruggles, 66, father of Emerie Combs of Pikeville, died Monday at Littleton Regional Hospital.
Mr. Ruggles was born in Littleton to the late Abbott and Mildred Blodgett Ruggles. He graduated from Littleton High School as president and valedictorian of the Class of 1957. He joined the United States Air Force in 1958 and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1978. His hobbies were gardening, fishing, and watching NASCAR races.
In addition to his daughter, Mr. Ruggles is survived by his wife, Delores Firoe Ruggles of Littleton; one daughter, Emerie Combs of Pikeville; a son, David Ruggles of Henderson; a daughter, Valerie Brooks, of Littleton; a sister, Faye Merchant of Littleton; and seven grandchildren
Private funeral services will be held on Thursday at the Pillsbury Funeral Homes Littleton Chapel with Pastor Ernie Gault officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
