TOMMY MURRELL

KINSTON -- William Henry "Tommy" Murrell Jr., 63, father of LaVerna Murrell of LaGrange, died Thursday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
The funeral was held today at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bonnie Clark officiating. Burial was at Tabor Memorial Estates in Snow Hill.
In addition to his daughter, Mr. Murrell is survived by his wife, Hilda Murrell of the home; another daughter, Doris Farmer of Kinston; a son William H. Murrell III of Washington, D.C.; his mother, Verna Bell Murrell of the home; two sisters Verna L. Howard of Oklahoma and Deborah Dudley of Kinston; two brothers, Edward E. Murrell of Kinston and Linwood O. Murrell of Texas; and three grandchildren.
The family is being served by Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.
