Grace Catherine Lancaster, 76, of 114 North Goldsboro St., Pikeville, died Sunday, surrounded by her family, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The Reverends Gerald Hollamon, Berry House and Donald Daniels will officiate. Interment will be at Pikeville Cemetery in Pikeville.

Mrs. Lancaster was born on May 20, 1929, to the late Johnnie Walter Daniels Sr. and Margaret Williams Daniels. She was a member of Liberty Pentecostal Church in Goldsboro, where she sang in the choir and served as church secretary and treasurer for a number of years. She also served as past Sunday school teacher, vice president of the Ladies Auxiliary and board member.

She is survived by her husband, Joshua T. Lancaster; one daughter, Debbie Head, and her husband, Jerry, of Goldsboro; one granddaughter, Monica Joann Rodriguez; and one goddaughter, Deloris Lancaster Sheehan of Goldsboro.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lancaster was preceded in death by her brother, Johnnie Walter Daniels Jr.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro, and other times at the residence.
