KINSTON -- Charlie Hugh Grant, 77, brother of Irene Murphy of LaGrange, died Wednesday at his home.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Edwards Funeral Home. The Rev. Clint White will officiate. Burial will be on Friday morning at 11 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Grant served in the military during the Korean War and was a retired carpenter.
In addition to his sister, he is survived by his wife, Doris S. Grant; two sons, Charlie Grant Jr. and Paul Grant of Kinston; another sister, Faye Humphrey of Kinston; one brother, Melvin Grant of Washington; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight.
