JIM O'SHEA

WINTERVILLE -- James "Jim" O'Shea, 67, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2006, at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, after an extended illness.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.

Jim was raised in Bethpage Long Island, N.Y. After high school he served in the U.S. Army for four years before beginning his life-long career as a printer. He and his family moved to North Carolina and settled in Greenville where he was the owner of Rainbow Press for 33 years. He was known throughout his community as a well respected businessman. Over the years, he also served his Lord through many areas of ministry. He was a member of Unity Free Will Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Misty, and grandsons, T.J. and Jeremy.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy Ham O'Shea; daughters, Peggy Campbell and husband, Jeff, of Greenville, Laurie Laney and husband, Jim, of Wixom, Mich.; son, Tim O'Shea of Ayden, N.C.; grandchildren, Jennifer and Katie Campbell, Rebecca Casey and husband, Billy, Sarah Verheul and husband, J.R., Mike and Matt Laney and Kaci Smith; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Casey, and Erin and Jade Verheul; sister, Marie Hawkins of Hermitage, Tenn.; and brother, Paul O'Shea of Aberdeen, N.J.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Friday) at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Free Will Baptist Church, 2725 E. 14th St., Greenville, N.C., 27858.
