GASTONIA -- Mrs. Sally Parks Gallagher, 81, died Sunday at her home in Gastonia.
Mrs. Gallagher was born on October 16, 1924 in Wayne County to the late Jesse Parks and Vicy Ann Smith Parks. She was retired from the United States Government.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating.
Mrs. Gallagher is survived by her husband, John A. Gallagher; her daughter, Maureen G. Stoudt; husband, Jeffrey of Gastonia; her son, James Anthony Gallagher and wife, Christine, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Nicole Stoudt and Jeffrey Kyle Stoudt; and her brothers, Gordon Parks of LaGrange and Harold Parks of Pine Knoll Shores.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston County Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, N.C. 28054 or to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Grier Middle School, 1622 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, N.C. 28054.
The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
