MARY F. LANCASTER

Mary Frances Lancaster, 65, of 309 True Vine Road, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The Rev. Byron Murray will officiate.

Mrs. Lancaster was born in Wayne County and was the daughter of Jennie Frances Johnson Taylor of Goldsboro and the late Terry A. Vanderburg. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with her family and fishing.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her husband of 50 years, Clovis Eugene "Chick" Lancaster; four sons, Gene Lancaster and his wife, Lynn, of Southport, Kenneth Lancaster and his wife, Lisa, of Pikeville, John C. Lancaster of Smithfield and Andrew Lancaster and his wife, Aleah, of Pikeville; one brother, Terry Charles Vanderburg and his wife, Pauline, of Goldsboro; two sisters, Betsy E. Vinson and her husband, Raymond of Goldsboro and Toni Brown of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Justin, Stephen, Anthony and Hailey; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Friday morning.
