The funeral for Drucie Ferrell Howell, 75, will be held today at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. The Rev. Rudolph Rowe will officiate. A graveside service will be held Thursday morning at 11 at Pikeville Cemetery.
Mrs. Howell was a resident of Countryside Assisted Living. She died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A Wilson County native, she was the daughter of the late Wash Ferrell and Vida Bone Ferrell and the widow of Norwood Howell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pikeville, where she sang in the choir.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Parrish and his wife, Peggy, of Selma, Donald Parrish and his wife, Norma, of Fremont and Randy Parrish and his wife, Kitty, of Fremont; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight, and other times at the home of Randy and Kitty Parrish, 205 Pender Street, Fremont.
