The funeral for William Thomas Atkinson, 68, of 506 Eason St., will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Goldsboro Chapel Baptist Church. The Rev. James Collins will officiate. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Atkinson retired from the United States Air Force with 22 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Hill Atkinson of the home; one brother, Herbert Atkinson of Charlotte; and four sisters, Barbara Rivers, Carolyn Jackson and Brenda Hines of Goldsboro and Marian Anderson of Queens, N.Y.
The viewing hours will be from 1 until 6 today at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
