Clyde Melvin Mitchell, 83, died Sunday at SunBridge of Mount Olive.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Harold Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Mitchell was born in Johnston County to the late George William Mitchell and Ella Pittman Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Pearl Loma Mitchell. He was retired from Southern Wholesale.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by a stepsister, Helen Cockrum of Paragould, Ark.; a niece, Laura Caples of Jonesboro, Ark.; and a nephew, Jimmy Mitchell of Dunn.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
