Rodney Dale Sutton, 46, of 101 Planters Place, died Tuesday while working in Carteret County.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church. The Rev. David Jackson and the Rev. Bill Bradley will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Sutton was born in Chatham County, Ga., to William and Shirley Carr Sutton of Goldsboro. He was a registered nurse and was working with Lithotripters Inc. and Cherry Hospital.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mikki Moore Sutton; three sons, James Sutton, Jared Sutton and Nicholas Sutton of the home; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Nancy Moore of Goldsboro; one brother, Rick Sutton of Pikeville; one sister, Lori S. Herring, and her husband, Willie, of Goldsboro; and his brother-in-law, James Moore Jr. of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Autism Society of North Carolina, 505 Oberlin Road, Suite 230, Raleigh, N.C., 27605-1345.
