ALBERTSON -- Betty Herring Smith, 71, of 146 John David Grady Road, died Monday at her home.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Pink Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. David Fishman and the Rev. Bob Fussell will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter, Donna Plante of Ocala, Fla.; one son, Dana Lewis of Dudley; three sisters, Lou Ellen Carrell of Mount Olive, Helen Banks of Trenton and Mary Hicks of Destin, Fla.; two brothers, Lawrence "Johnny" Herring of Goldsboro and Benjamin Larry Herring of Tabor City; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the service tonight, and at other times at the residence of Lou Ellen Carrell in Mount Olive.
