KINSTON -- The funeral for Alma Louise Sanderson, mother of Sammy Wiggins of LaGrange, will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home. The Rev. Percy Cunningham will conduct the service. Burial will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanderson died Saturday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. She was 70.
In addition to her son she is survived by her husband, Ray Cleveland Sanderson of the home; two daughters, Brenda Knapp of Kinston and Debra Tripp of Texas; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight, and other times at the residence of Jeffrey Wiggins 1898 Elijah Loftin Road, Kinston.
