MARY ALICE WARD
Raleigh resident died Friday.
RALEIGH -- Mrs. Mary Alice Underwood Ward, 79, of Raleigh, died Friday at Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern.
Mrs. Ward was born in Cumberland County on Feb. 1, 1927 to the late Walter Underwood and Hattie Mae Fisher Underwood. She was preceded in death by her husband. D.C. Ward Jr. She had worked with T.A. Loving Co. in Goldsboro.
A graveside service will be Monday at noon at the Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward is survived by her daughter, Dee Lisa Benton and husband, Vann, of New Bern; grandsons, James Isaac Benton and Daniel Clayton Benton; and her special friends on Justice Drive in Raleigh.
The family will receive friends Monday from 10-11:30 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
