REV. BILLY JORDAN

The Rev. Billy Ray Jordan, 64, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Wayne County to Annie Talton Jordan and the late Braxton Richard Jordan. He had been the pastor of Indian Springs Original Free Will Baptist Church for five years and was the former pastor of Mays Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and various other churches.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Roseitta Holland of Kenly and Lillian Starling of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Reverends Barry Stallings and Troy Lee Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Nahunta Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Annie Jordan.
