Stephen Paul Smith, 40, of 100 Sunrise Drive, Dudley, died Tuesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton. The Rev. Robert Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park.
Mr. Smith was a native of Wise County, Texas, and was the son of Judy Smith McLamb of Goldsboro and the late Billy Lee Smith. He was employed at Excell Fashions in Goldsboro.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Jon Alan Smith of Beckley, W.Va.; two stepsisters, Lynn Wright and Karen Moore of Clinton; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Packer of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at Cumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home tonight from 7 until 8, and other times at the home of Lynn Wright, 4725 Garland Hwy., Clinton.
