MARGARET BRISBOIS

Died Feb. 23, 2006

Margaret Bryan Brisbois, 83, died Thursday, Feb. 23, following a long illness.

She was born in Goldsboro and was the daughter of the late John and Chellie Bryan. She attended Guilford College in Greensboro and had lived in Raleigh before moving to California in 1971. Her hobbies were painting, reading and playing bridge. She also loved music and her garden full of well-tended roses.

Her husband, James A. Brisbois, and a daughter-in-law, Catherine Carlston Brisbois, preceded her in death.

She is survived by three daughters, Michele Ware and her husband Joe, Linda Brown and her husband Skip, and Jane Carney, two sons, James A. Brisbois Jr. and his wife, Marcia and Timothy Brisbois and his wife Kelly; nine grandchildren, Renee, Janie, Joey, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Donna, Lee, Nicole and Mark; nine great-grandchildren, Jamie, Jeremy, Elizabeth, Dustin, Gino, Kyle, Tommy, Lukah and Evan; one sister, Gladys Howard and her husband Hugh of Pikeville; two nieces, Betty Ellis and her husband Charles of Goldsboro and Carol Lynn McKnight and her husband Sam of Raleigh; one nephew, Vernon Bryan of Goldsboro.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at Eggen and Lance Chapel in Santa Rosa.
