ROCKY MOUNT -- Ernest Ralph Proctor Sr., 72, died Monday.
He is survived by three sons, Ernest Ralph Proctor Jr. of Rocky Mount, formerly of Goldsboro, and Scott Proctor and Greg Proctor, also of Rocky Mount; five sisters, Elizabeth Proctor Hearne, Mildred Proctor Crusenberry, Pat Proctor Rose, Ida Proctor Lancaster, And Alma Proctor Wilkins; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Proctor was a native of Edgecombe County and was the son of the late William Ralph and Louise Farmer Proctor and the widower of Relsie Rackley Proctor. He was a member of West Edgecombe Ruritan Club and Edgemont Baptist Church.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. The Rev. David Eidson and Dr. William Tomlinson will officiate. Burial will be in Rocky Mount Memorial Park
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at the funeral home.
