WILLIAM D. HAWKINS
Died March 5, 2006
William Derek Hawkins, 44, died Sunday.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. James United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Hawkins, a native of Wayne County, lived most of his life in Pitt County. He was a student at Pitt County Community College and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, where served as assistant custodian.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Riggan Hawkins; one daughter, Charlene Leigh Hawkins of the home; his mother, Peggy Hawkins of Winterville; his father and stepmother, Bill and Georgene Hawkins of Portland, Ore.; and one sister, Sandra Mozingo, and one brother, Danny Hawkins, both Portland, Ore.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Wilkerson Funeral Home .
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. James Building Endowment Fund, 2000 E. 6th St., Greenville, N.C., 27858.
