Harry Isaac Cohn, 65, died Wednesday in Greenbelt, Maryland.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Glenn Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mr. Cohn was born in Guilford County and was the son of the late Leo and Vera Merritt Cohn. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
He is survived by a son, Harry Jay Spurgeon of Boston, Mass.; an uncle, Harry Merritt of Raleigh; an aunt, Viola Merritt of Raleigh; cousins, Susan Merritt O'Brien, Jenny Louise Merritt, Colleen Merritt O'Brien and Nancy Neighbors of Raleigh, Jo Ellen Allen of Powell's Point, Georgia Rumage of Griffin, Ga., and Lee Porter of Atlanta, Ga.; and a very special friend and long-time companion, Beverly Harrington of Greenbelt, Md.
Family members will greet friends Tuesday morning from 10 until 11 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the First Baptist Church, 125 S. John St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530; or to the charity of one's choice.
