Sybil Whitaker Holt, 68, died Friday in Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Cemetery in Greenville.
Mrs. Holt, a native of the Vanceboro community of Craven County, was the daughter of the late H.C. "John" and Effie Waters. She lived much of the early part of her life in Greenville. She had made her home in Goldsboro for the past 15 years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Holt in 1999, and two brothers, Donald Waters and John Waters Jr.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas Frank "Whit" Whitaker Jr., Edward Lee Whitaker and wife, Martha, and Donald Ervin Whitaker, all of Greenville; a brother, Horace Waters of Castle Hayne; a sister, Doris McArthur of Charlotte; a half-sister, Mary Effie Bell of Seattle, Wash.; and two grandchildren, Justin and Allison Whitaker.
