WARSAW -- McEnnis Darden, 93, died Tuesday at Glencare of Warsaw.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Community Funeral Home. The Rev. Mickey Whitfield and the Rev. Jerry W. Ezzell will officiate. Burial will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Mr. Darden was the son of the late Frank Darden and Jezzy Cotton Darden of Wayne County and was the widower of Myrtle Brock Darden.
He is survived by four sons, Ennis Franklin "Frank" Darden and Daniel Leo "Danny" Darden of Mount Olive, Andrew Louis Darden of Faison and Gregory Phil Darden of Washington, N.C.; three daughters, Jessie Ellen Darden Peaden of Elm City, Myrtie Maybelle Darden Ezzell and Susan Eleanor Darden Potter of Warsaw; and 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Wednesday night.
