LILLIE JACKSON
Lillie Maye Anderson Jackson, 93, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the Brian Center.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Wayne County on February 7, 1913 to the late Louie Anderson and Nana Leetha Williams Anderson. She was married to the late Paul Jackson. Mrs. Jackson was a retired seamstress with Weil's Department Store and had worked as a nursing assistant with Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Jackson will be remembered for her love of family and her strong faith in God. She was known for sharing cards with those she loved and anyone she felt needed encouragement. These cards always had a special insert with a verse or poem she felt God led her to share. Mrs. Jackson shared her many talents, cooking and sewing with others. She was much loved by all.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. today at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Reverends Jimmy Whitfield and Bill Rose will officiate. Burial will follow in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Ann Boyette and husband, Linwood E. "Jack" of Goldsboro; her sons, James P. Jackson and wife, Barbara of Fayetteville and Billy Jackson and wife, Ila Mae of Layton, Utah; her granddaughter, Bonnie Edgerton (raised by Lillie Mae) and husband, Larry of Raleigh; her daughters-in-law, Deane Jackson of Fayetteville and Myra Jackson of Goldsboro; her sisters, Ann Slusser of Goldsboro, Irene McDaniels of Baltimore, Md. and Joyce Williams of Pikeville; her brothers, Raymond Anderson of Dudley and Earl Anderson of Summerville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Hilda Jackson; her sons, Charlie Paul Jackson and Bobby R. Jackson; her stepsons, Newell Boyette Jackson and Ernest Golden Jackson; her step-granddaughter, Becky Lynn Jackson; and her brothers, Russell Anderson and Willie Edgar Anderson.

The family received friends Saturday evening from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of Dorothy and Jack Boyette, 1407 E. Holly St., Goldsboro.
