EUPHEMIA CARNEGIE

Lula Euphemia Bass Carnegie died on Sunday, Jan. 15, in Decatur, Ga.

She was born in Faison and was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Bass. She married Bob Carnegie in 1951 and they moved to New York, where they became Jehovah's Witnesses. They moved to Georgia in 1979.

She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Bronda and Harold Cummings, Carmen and Sherrel Cannon, Teresa Durham and Rose Mary Buford; her eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; one brother and his wife, Col. Jesse James and Stephanie Bass; one sister, Jean Bass-Jackson; one sister-in-law, Rufina George; and cousins, Bernell Hunter Worthy and Rev. Louise Hunter Lee.

The funeral was held on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Decatur.
