DENNY F. PELT

EUREKA -- Denny Freeman Pelt, 52, died Sunday at his residence, 341 Bogue Road, Fremont.
Mr. Pelt was born on March 18, 1953, to Beverly Bogue Pelt of Eureka and the late Welford Freeman Pelt. He taught school in Wayne County and Johnston County for thirty years, and retired October, 2005. An avid gardener, Mr. Pelt had a great love for his nieces, nephews, fellow teachers and students.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Eureka United Methodist Church with Rev. Edward Drew officiating. Interment will follow in the Eureka Cemetery.
In addition to his mother, his family includes a brother, Jerry Pelt (Judy) of Eureka; sisters, Janet Pelt Grant (Earl) of Eureka and Sharon Pelt Price (Danny) of Eureka; his nieces, Melissa Price Smith (Darian), Beth Pelt and Kayla Grant; his nephews, Brandon Pelt and Joshua Price; and his grandmother, Nora Edmundson Bogue of Eureka.
Memorials may be made to Eureka United Methodist Church, 128 N. Church Street, Eureka, N.C. 27830.
The family will receive friends Tuesday (today) from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
